Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G cannot support esim
They make no mention of eSIM nor dual-SIM capability in their specification page for the devices (see here). You might consider contacting Samsung Canada to see if there are any plans to enable eSIM functionality on that particular device.
Insert or Remove SIM Card
Insert or remove the Nano SIM card into the SIM tray with the gold contacts facing up and the notched edge in the upper right. Gently press the SIM card in until it clicks into place.

@antoniosilva73: Further to the above, if you purchased your S21 FE from a reputable retailer, and you are confident that the phone is intended for use in your region, then please check to make sure that your SIM is correctly inserted in your device. When the phone has finished booting, check the top left corner of the lock screen, where your network details should be visible.
S21 FE 5g eSIM?
I’m trying to ge to the bottom of whether / how the S21 FE 5G supports eSIM. I bought my phone direct from Samsung in the UK, not locked to any network, though I use O2 at home.

Samsung Confirms: Galaxy S21 FE Will Have Dual SIMs in US
Updated 1/4/22: Samsung contacted us to clarify that it cannot provide a specific timeline for launching the dual-SIM functionality, even on the phones with dual physical SIMs. Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE is hitting the US market with an extremely rare feature: dual physical SIM card slots, letting you have two mobile subscriptions at once—at least in theory. Instead, US phones have been turning to embedded eSIMs that let you load a second subscription from a menu or a QR code. For people in some other countries such as India and Italy, dual SIMs were long about taking advantage of promotional pricing or in-network calling discounts on prepaid carriers, which is less relevant here.
